Pete McNally: Texas Ranger

BY: Richard D. Sorenson - El Paso, Texas

Step back into Texas history and the days when the Texas Rangers were sent to the northern plains and western deserts of the Lone Star state. The Texas Rangers served their state by breaking the brutal strength of the Apaches and Comanches, by rounding up cattle rustlers, murderers, kidnappers, and theives, and by putting an end to a period of ruthless fighting! Pete McNally was one of those Rangers -- a special breed of lawmen dedicated to bringing law, order, and justice to the Texas western frontier!

Pete McNally: Texas Ranger is a consise, yet so very entertaining read. Written by a masterful storyteller, native Texan Cliff Hudgins, the book immediately grabs the attention of the reader and doesn't let go until the lead character, Pete McNally, serves up some true Texas justice! Enjoy a western tale that allows the reader to travel across Texas from Waco to Wichita Falls, to Floydada, and on to Palo Duro Canyon during a bygone era when the Comanche nation ruled the Texas plains. Pete McNally: Texas Ranger is a great book for the reader of any age who is energized by reading about life on the western plains where each day was fraught with danger, glory, disaster, and in the case of Pete McNally: Texas Ranger, lawlessness in need of six-gun justice! Buy it, read it, and then share this enjoyable book!

The author almost immediately puts you back in time when young Texas was still quite wild. He paints a picture of life in those days and the men and women who settled it. You can almost SEE his characters and you get caught up in their story quite quickly. This is an easy read and a book you do not want to put down.

Highly recommend if you like a good story that moves along nicely.
